Persons with disabilities are the most vulnerable and living under poverty in Sri Lanka. Uplifting the life standard by referring the persons with disabilities to the livelihood will make the PWDs to contribute to the national GDP and partakers in the economic activities.

Financial Assistance: There are various parties are investing on the development of the livelihood of the PWDs by government, private, non-government organizations and well-wishers

Employment: Government is willing to employ 3% in the recruitment, private sectors are also interested in providing employment opportunities for the PWDs who meet the minimal criterions.

Skill Development: Task based or employment based skill development for the PWDs will increase the employment opportunity.
